Boarding and Riding
Hundred Acre Wood Boarding and Riding in Jefferson, Maine, is owned and operated by David and Rachael Richmond. Located on over 100 acres of fields and woods, we are just 15 miles from Augusta and 20 minutes from the scenic Maine coast. Hundred Acre Wood, or HAW, offers a variety of services including boarding, lessons, riding camps, leasing, training, sales, breeding and a variety of clubs. HAW is also the home of Clary Connemaras.
Our boarding facilities include box stalls with daily turnout, paddocks with run-in sheds, and pasture board in the summer and fall. The property also offers a 90’x170’ sand outdoor arena, a small cross country course, a jump arena with both stadium and cross country style jumps, and access to miles of trails. There is a clubhouse with an equestrian library available to all patrons and a lounge area with many amenities. We welcome all levels and styles of riding. Our 70’x140’ indoor arena was completed in 2011, with sand footing, lights, and an airy, open feel. Attached to the indoor are four run-in stalls, with eight more and a tack room to be completed in 2012.

Our goal is to offer a safe, educational riding environment that provides our clients with a fun, non-competitive atmosphere.
